To people who feel ridiculous over me going back to my previous job…
Rest assure,
It is not going to be the same again.
As in,
me, myself.

I am back to prove my worth,
if I have proven my worth,
and not rewarded as per what they promise,
I will say good bye when with a

very promising portfolio…

and find my worth elsewhere.
So, don’t worry..i am back here to continue where I stop,
so at least, the next time I leave,
I am well assured I can fetch a much better pay out there.

I finally got to see my dear goofy yesterday after he book out!
And…I finally can pass him the present!!
heehee!!
Here’s the surprise I had for him..

I did a vector of our picture!! I had it printed in A3 size and got it framed up..
heee…hope he love this gift I made for him.
Hope he can find a place to hang it or put it..
=)
He then brought me out for meatballs at ikea!!
haha..my FAVOURITE!! *salivating still when I think of it*
And he got me this as a Vday gift!

I really love this picture of the tulips and has been paying extra attention to it everytime i go ikea..I am really happy!!
I mention to him once:
“I love tulips, but they die so fast and you can’t keep them forever…”
I think he notice it and got me this as a present!
He wrote me a letter also..and I am so touched by his words…
made me want to cry when I read the letter..

Although we didnt have the best food…expensive gifts…I was very happy…cause we finally got to spend time with each other after a week of each other’s absence…
even when it is only a normal day spend..
=)

but….
My poor Mr goofy is sick today..too heaty…cough, flu, fever, sore throat….
Hope he has a good rest at home today and get better tmr.
Wanted to visit him today…but I feel it is better not to disturb his rest…
Tmr after work will go visit my dear goofy..

This year’s Valentine, my goofy is out in the forest spending with a bunch of guys playing with guns and mud and sand.
And me? at home eat air.

But…
Although we can’t meet…
I’ve prepared a little something for him for this special occasion..(belated though)
Hope he will love it…
I hope he didnt expect it…

Today 14thFeb will be the last day of my ”holiday”…quite sad cause duno when will have this kind of time again.
But well, this break had given me time to clear my thoughts and also allow me to spend times that I wanted so much with my love ones, my friends, family and my darling.

It felt like a dream somehow…and it is going to end soon.
I used to be very reluctant when my mum ask me to go market with her…but during this break I have been bugging her to bring me out..haha..I really wanted to spend more time with her. 

Last week Richard had a 1 week leave, and we spend almost everyday together. That’s going to be the first and last time we will be spending so much time together..quite sad though…but time really help to work things out. Last week really left a very impt mark in our RS. We had learn to compromise each other, we had less stress..more patience. And we are communicating well!! I am really really happy! I really hope it was one month and not 1 week =(.
And my poor thing is out for field camp on valentine’s day…SAD.
Our first valentine and he is not here…=(((
But is okay..I am not done with his present yet…I am going to Ikea when I wake up today..heehee
I hope he will like my present for him =)))

All I hope when I go back is, things has improved..I don’t want to go home so late like last time again..hope it is not back to the same old Mo-X.

Btw, For those who didnt know, I cut my hair real short!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYONE!!

But, no doubt, it is true.

It’s always a NO.

Even when we’re dying to say YES.

We say NO.

“Are u unhappy?”

“NO.”

“Are u angry?“

“NO.”

“Are u crying alrdy??“

“NO!”

“But u sound like u are…“

“No… I said no no no!“

And so the century-old question:

“How come u women always say NO, even when u actually mean YES?”

Let me TRY to unravel this mystery of the female specie…

Here’s 2 possible reasons y we say NO when we wholeheartedly meant YES:

1) We are logical beings (too).

We love to be pampered, fussed abt and cared for.

We love it when u treat us like a princesses.

We love it when u give in to our every request.

We love it when u appear next to us everytime we need u.

We love it when u appear everytime we miss u.

We love it when u surprise us with ur presence.

We love it when u bother to snail-mail.

We love it when u give us flowers (even though we ALWAYS say it’s a waste of money).

BUT

Even though we (day) dream alot, we still think with logic.

And we noe the diff b/w wad the heart’s tellin us and wad the mind’s telling us…

Scenario 1:

You ask: “Do u wan me to accompany you? It’s ok, I can just let my frens know that I’m not gng w them for our……”

Heart says: “YES! I wan u to accompany me, whole day.”

Mind says: “If i say yes, u’ll probably think i’m being selfish and demanding…”

So We say: “NO, nevermind, go ahead w ur plans…”

Scenerio 2:

You ask: “Are you unhappy with me?”

Heart says: “Hell YES! And I’m pretty sure u can tell without even asking.”

Mind says: “It’s really no big deal.. to him at least… so dun kick a big fuss and cry over it… I’ll be the one to end up w the ugly puffy eyes anyway…”

So We say: “NO. Not really… just… PMSing…” (and so we’re ALWAYS PMS-ing…)

The other explanation:

2) The FEMALE ego

Yes. Forget abt ur male ego.

We have ours too, in case u guys din realise…

As mentioned b4, we love all the sweet, rosy, lovey-dovey things…

BUT

This is really the era of Independent Women.

We noe we CAN depend on ourselves…

and are capable of taking care of ourselves…

And we kinda dislike showing u guys our weak side.

Coz we noe we’re not weak.
And we dun like u to think so either.

So this is wad happen when u try to offer help by asking:

Senerio 1:

You ask: “Do u need me to send you back?”

Heart says: “YES! that’ll be really nice…”

Ego says: “I’m capable of gng back myself. I really dun NEED to trouble u.”

We say: “NO thanks… I can go home myself…”

Senerio 2:

You ask: “Do u need me to carry this for u?”

Heart says: “YES… my hand is at the verge of breaking cant u see?”

Ego says: “I rather break my arm den admit that i NEED u to help me…”

We say: “NO need lah.. not very heavy wad…”

Then again…

I’m just simplifying this whole explanation with 2 possible reasons…

Dun assume dat women are really DAT simple.

We’re not.

And I can tell u…

We’re PROUD of it

Coz the Men Dun Geddit.

Akira kurosawa
For people who doesnt know who he is, Akira kurosawa (黑泽明) 1910-1998
was a renowned japanese director worldwide. 
His work dates back to 1940s till the last film, 5 years before his death.

 I only got to know this man when my FYP project last year requires us to construct an exhibition installation for one of his movie. 
He was  a GREAT man, a GREAT artist and GREAT film maker.
He is one who truly put his heart and soul into film-making.

 Akira Kurosawa’s film – Dreams (1990)
 

Just finish watching this film on Youtube (HMV sells the DVD @ close to 100bucks!). Awesome film I must say.
It is a movie made up of 8 dreams. Each dreams depicts different phase of his life and deliver different messages.

The first 2 dreams depicts the childhood times.

Sunshine through the rain
There is an old legend in Japan saying that fox spirits holds their wedding rituals during raining days and they will be unplease upon any people who sees it.
In the dream, the little boy defies the mother’s wish and went out to the orest during a rainy day. He witnessed the Fox wedding from beind a tree and unfortunately, was discovered by the foxes.
Notice the colours captured in this dream, it is all SOOO dream-like you won’t believe it is real(it is indeed real). Just a side-note, if you think the rainbow was added in by some editing programmes, you are totally wrong! The team waited at the place for (I don’t know how long) for the rainbow to appear!

The Blizzard
A dream about four mountaineers who encounter a snowstorm when they are on their way back to their camp. The team can no longer move on but the leader endeavors to struggle on through the storm.  Just before you thought they would all die in the snowstorm, the leader encountered something.
This talks about the struggle between life and death in an instance.

The tunnel
A commander from a japanese troop was just released from some prison and was on his way home when he pass through this tunnel. This is a heart-wrenching one .
after he came out of the tunnel, a dead private from his troops followed behind.
He wanted to know if he is really dead.
After him was a whole platoon(dead),
How devastated can the commander be, can you imagine?
Notice the clour on the dead’s face, they are of distinctive pale blue, Akira Kurosawa has his very own way of expressing things, you will realise it throughout the film, the film site, the sky, the clouds, the colours bla bla bla.

Crows
He dreamt of meeting Van Gogh in his paintings.
Very Van Gogh, featured the vibrant colours and scenery in his paintings. 

Mount Fuji in red
A large nuclear plant near mount fuji exploded and people are trying to escape by jumping into the sea. The only survivors struggled to live but only to realise they can never escape the fate of being killed by the radiation.
Notice the messages he is trying to portray. Some Global issues.

Weeping demon
A dream’s message is quite similar to the previous one. A man was wandering around a misty bleak mountainous region when he came across a demon-like man.
The “demon” the cries to him that he used to be a man and the barren land now used to be a beautiful village. Due to nuclear holocaust, everything has change and has changed the course of nature. Human start to grow horns, huge dandelions, wierd roses.
They turn to eat one another as there are nomore food for them.

Village of the watermills
The last dream of the film. A traveller came across a village with a watermill at every house. He then came to know that the people living here are living the ancient way, where there were no pollutions and everything is sourced from nature.
They celebrated upon death at a ripe old age as they believe that a proper end to a good life is joyous and not to be mourn about.
A very light hearted ending with a very important message.
The scenery in this dream is really beautiful, the water is crystal clear, the plants are lush…

I don’t know the words to descibe how beautiful this film is. This is definitely one of my favourite show of AKira Kurosawa.
